60% monoammonium phosphate is a high-concentration, fast-acting nitrogen-phosphorus compound fertilizer. The "60%" usually refers to the total nutrient content, specifically nitrogen (N) content of approximately 12% and phosphorus (P₂O₅) content of approximately 58% (12-58-0). Its powdered form gives it unique application characteristics.
· High phosphorus and low nitrogen: Its main feature is an extremely high phosphorus content, making it particularly suitable for use during the early growth stage of crops when a large amount of phosphorus is needed.
· Good water solubility: It dissolves easily in water and can be quickly absorbed and utilized by crops after dissolution, making it a fast-acting fertilizer.
· Physical properties: White or grayish-white powder, light in texture, with good fluidity. It is prone to absorbing moisture and will clump in a humid environment.
· Stable chemical properties: The solution is acidic (pH value approximately 4.5), which is conducive to improving alkaline soil. However, it should not be mixed with alkaline fertilizers (such as wood ash, lime, etc.), otherwise it will lead to the volatilization of ammonia and a decrease in the availability of phosphorus.
· Low chlorine or chlorine-free: It can be safely used on crops sensitive to chloride ions, such as tobacco, potatoes, fruit trees, etc.
· Safety: Non-flammable and non-explosive, but it will produce irritating ammonia gas when decomposed.

· Base fertilizer (base fertilizer) : This is its main application. It should be applied to the soil during land preparation before sowing or transplanting to provide sufficient phosphorus for the entire growth period of crops (especially the seedling stage), promoting root development and enhancing stress resistance.
· Seed fertilizer: It can be applied together with seeds, but special attention must be paid! Due to its high concentration and rapid dissolution, it should be kept at a certain distance from the seeds (either sideways or deeply applied), or the dosage should be strictly controlled; otherwise, it is easy to "burn the seedlings".
· Flushing/Drip irrigation: Due to its excellent water solubility, it can be used in integrated water and fertilizer systems. However, for powdered products, it is necessary to ensure that they are completely dissolved and filtered to prevent clogging of the dripper.
· Raw materials for formula fertilizers: As basic raw materials, they are mixed with fertilizers such as urea and potassium chloride to produce various formula compound fertilizers of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
· Particularly phosphorus-loving crops: rape, leguminous crops (soybeans, peanuts), tuber crops (potatoes, sweet potatoes), melons, fruit trees, tobacco, etc.
·Field crops such as wheat, corn and rice show remarkable effects in phosphorus-deficient soil or when promoting root growth during the seedling stage.
· Cash crops: cotton, vegetables, flowers, etc.

· Soil testing and fertilization: It is best to apply based on the results of soil testing, especially suitable for phosphorus-deficient or medium to low fertility soils. Excessive application of phosphorus-rich soil has no significant effect and is uneconomical.
Application method:
· Deep application and soil covering: Especially as base fertilizer, it is recommended to apply deeply (10-20 cm) and cover with soil to reduce nitrogen volatilization and phosphorus fixation.
· Avoid direct contact with seeds: When used as seed fertilizer, ensure a safe distance (such as 5-7 centimeters below the seed side).
· Do not mix with alkaline substances: It is strictly prohibited to mix with calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer, wood ash, lime, etc.
·vs. Superphosphate (common calcium) : The nutrient concentration of monoammonium phosphate (especially phosphorus) is much higher than that of common calcium. It does not contain fillers such as gypsum and is more efficient, but it is also more expensive.
·vs. diammonium phosphate (DAP) : The concentrations of the two are similar, but DAP has a higher nitrogen content (18%) and a slightly lower phosphorus content (46%). DAP is more neutral, while monoammonium phosphate is more acidic. On some Ph-sensitive soils or crops, the choices are different.
·vs. Granular monoammonium phosphate: Powdered monoammonium dissolves faster and is more suitable for use as raw material or for flushing application; Granular monoammonium has better physical properties, is less prone to moisture absorption, and is more suitable for mechanical fertilization and direct application.
60% monoammonium phosphate powder is a specialized high-concentration and fast-acting phosphorus fertilizer, which is a powerful tool for correcting soil phosphorus deficiency and promoting the early root growth of crops. Its high efficiency is also accompanied by higher application technical requirements and storage conditions. For large-scale farms, water and fertilizer integration systems, and compound fertilizer manufacturers, it is a very important fertilizer choice. Before use, ordinary farmers must consult local agricultural technicians to determine the dosage and method based on the actual situation to achieve the best effect.
